Start With One Change

Dear Patient,

I was in the sauna at my gym today thinking:
If people really understood how easy it is to be healthy, they would just BE it.

Popular medical dogma teaches that you have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, Rheumatoid arthritis or whatever other chronic condition you may have, because "it's genetic."

"Here, take your pills, there's nothing you can do to fix this."

After having reversed COUNTLESS chronic conditions at this point in my career, I can assure you this is not the case.

The truth is that you absolutely CAN fix all of it by changing very small, simple things.

While in the sauna, I decided that I am going to write you (my patients) one email a week encouraging you to consider one small change.
Keep it at the forefront of your consciousness as the week goes by...think about it...practice it.
I would never recommend something to you that I am not already doing myself.

When these small habits accumulate, I can assure you that the odds will stack in your favor and you will soon achieve your health goals.

Sometimes all we need is focus and encouragement.
Forward this to a friend at work or someone close to you.
Work on it together and hold each other accountable.

The subject for this week is BREAD.

White, wheat, whole grain, pumpernickel, Ezikiel, sourdough, homemade, Cuban, bagels, muffins, crackers...whatever kind.

I could bore you to tears with the details behind WHY bread is leading you down a road to poor health, or you can just trust me when I tell you that I have read probably 1000 pages on this topic alone.

It destroys your gut microbiome, dramatically contributes to weight gain and fosters a metabolic environment that leads to diabetes and high blood pressure.
It is also the primary contributor to chronic inflammation

I challenge you to remove bread of all types for the upcoming week.
Be aware that it has addictive qualities and by abruptly discontinuing it, you may feel irritable.

I challenge you to recognize the way your body is feeling and take control.
Reach for a bottle of water.
Have a slice of ham and cheese...or just go for a walk outside for a moment.

Take your mind off the craving.

Dont substitute cookies or other sweets like juice or candy.
Take control of your cravings...and in doing so, take one step toward better health.

Lets stay healthy together.
Less Meds, More Health.

Sincerely,
Dr. P. Fabian Garcia
